Eric Birch High School proudly earned the Model Continuation School designation from the California Department of Education for providing comprehensive services to at-risk youth through the use of exemplary instructional strategies, flexible scheduling, and guidance and counseling services. Continuation schools provide a high school diploma program for students who have not graduated from high school, are required to attend school and are at risk of not completing their education.! Birch High was one of 31 schools to secure the honor in 2024.

Rising from a Silver Award in 2022 to maintaining Gold status showcases the dedication of Eric Birch’s staff, students, and families in effectively implementing PBIS strategies that promote positive behaviors, academic growth, and a strong sense of community. This milestone is a testament to the school’s continued pursuit of excellence and its focus on empowering every student to succeed.
